Clarence Zone Winter Sports Trials - Rugby Union

The Rugby Union trials scheduled for Monday March 10 have now been postponed to Monday March 17. Stage 3 students Braxn Nipperess, Jimmy Walsh, Hugo Fenn, Sandy Fenn and Ethan Maloney are all competing to make the Clarence team for the upcoming Dioceasan Rugby Union Trials.

Diocesan Winter Sports Trials - Hockey

Freya Kroenhert, Addison Peppernell and Charlotte Brown competed with 25 other students from our Diocese in the Diocesan Hockey Trials held in Grafton last Monday. All played with great skill and enthusiasm. Congratulations to Addison and Charlotte who have now been selected to represent the Lismore Diocese at the Polding Hockey Carnival in Bathurst later this year.

Diocesan Winter Sports - Rugby League Trials 

The Diocesan Rugby League trials for Opens and Under 11s has been postponed to a later date which is in the planning at the moment. The trials were to be held today, Friday March 7, at Frank McGuren Field Grafton. Braxn Nipperess, Willow Dwyer and Harry Whyte are all representing our school and Clarence zone at these trials to make the Diocesan team to go to Bathurst later in the year.

Sport Term 2 Grant

St Mary’s has just applied to the Government for a sporting schools grant for a Basketball program run by Basketball Development Officers for Term 2. Fingers crossed the grant application will be successful as we enjoyed the program last year so professionally run by Blake from Basketball NSW.
