Addison Peppernell
New South Wales State representatives in sport are few and far between at St Mary’s Grafton. You would have to look back through our long history books to find them - they are rare! But we have one here with us right now in Addison Peppernell. Our School Captain has been selected to play for the NSW Open Primary Girls Hockey Team in the Australian National Championships at Bendigo, Victoria. This is an outstanding achievement for Addison and we all should be proud of what she has achieved for herself, her family and local community. We will be very proud when the Official program comes out and next to Addison’s name will be (St Mary’s Primary School, Grafton).
Let's get to know Addison.

Diocesan Cross Country
Our sole competitor at the Dioceasn Cross Country carnival was Willa Chad. Last Thursday Willa travelled to Woolgoolga for the carnival and ran in the under 8/9 2km event. She ran a commendable 9th just missing out on qualifying for the next level. She may have made it though had she not stopped to help a fellow runner who was in distress. This displays true sportsmanship, we are so proud of Willa for showing the St Mary’s Way!
Basketball
Blake and Ben from basketball NSW are continuing our great basketball program. We thank them for their time and expertise. We are promoting basketball as a great sport to get involved in and encourage anyone to check out the local basketball competitions.
